5 Out of 5 – Great for Animal Lovers

It is simply what the name suggests – a forest full of monkeys! There are also some small temples, but mainly just monkeys. It was lovely to see the monkeys in their natural environment. The forest is not fenced in so the monkeys are there by choice and all seemed relaxed and happy, some were playing, eating, sleeping or grooming. A guide offered to encourage the monkey to come and sit on my shoulder and gave us food for the monkey and took a picture for us; was lovely and the monkey respected him – it went to go in my bag so he just told it no and it stopped. You can buy fruit to feed the monkeys around the forest but we just enjoyed watching other people do this!
