Building on what you will have learnt in the Open Water and Advance Open Water Courses, the PADI Rescue Diver Course increases your knowledge about how to firstly prevent problems and secondly manage them if they do occur. Taking part in this course means that you are working toward becoming a very well qualified diver. Rising to challenges and mastering them is the fun part of this demanding course. The course will significantly increase your diving awareness, helping you to become a much more confident diver.
You will need to be over 12 years old and pass the PADI medical. You will work through learning materials with other students and your experienced PADI Instructor. Some independent study will also be required. To begin with you’ll practice real rescue scenarios on the swimming pool under the guidance of your instructor. After this you’ll put these skills to the test in the open water of the ocean. The course lasts for three days.
